Farfetch, the online luxury fashion retailer based in London, has unveiled a new pre-order service to reduce fashion waste.
The new service will enable customers with early access to the latest product offerings all through the season before they finally hit the shelves.
Reportedly, the pre-order service will initially launch with brands like Balenciaga, Palm Angels, Off-White, Dolce and Gabbana and Nanushka, amongst many others.
While many brands are launching with this pre-order service for the first time, many more are expected to be added every month.
Notably, new pre-order styles will be available to shop every month and will ship to consumers around four months post purchase.
The objective is to enhance customer experience, while at the same time help establish the platform as a destination to access the newest items before they are available in the retail market.
Importantly, the retailer has made the launch campaign carbon neutral.
Farfetch was founded in 2007 and is a British-Portuguese online luxury fashion retail platform that sells products from more than 700 boutiques and brands worldwide. It is majorly known for its clothes and shoes.
