In an effort to boost growth in one of its most important markets, Dr. Martens has appointed Paul Zadoff as its new President of the Americas.
Paul Zadoff, who will take over in June, has thirty years of experience as a leader at multinational footwear, fashion clothing, accessory, and sporting goods companies. Senior roles at Nike, Levi Strauss & Co., Patagonia, TRX Training, and most recently, the upscale eyewear company Caddis, have all been part of his career.
At Dr. Martens, Zadoff will be in charge of the Americas region, which has 59 owned retail locations and is based in Portland. This market accounts for over 40 per cent of the brand’s overall group income. He will be directly accountable to CEO Ije Nwokorie after joining the global leadership team.
Having someone of Paul’s ability join the team to develop and implement regional strategy, according to Nwokorie, is evidence of the brand’s strength. His background managing people, collaborating with wholesale clients, creating omnichannel companies, and propelling expansion at some of the most recognisable brands in the world will be extremely beneficial.
Zadoff went on to say that he has always admired the quality of Dr. Martens’ products and their longevity in a market that is always evolving. Although the brand is already well-known in the USA, the Americas still have a tonne of unrealised potential.
With its global headquarters located in the United Kingdom, Dr. Martens works in three regions: EMEA (London), Americas (Portland), and APAC (Hong Kong). Since 1980, the brand has operated in the US market, and it still views the country as a key component of its global strategy.
