Gucci has appointed Thai actress Davika Hoorne as its latest brand ambassador for both its Gucci and Gucci Beauty brands.
Hoorne, a Thai star with both big movies and TV shows on her resume, confirmed the appointment at the luxury house via her personal Instagram account, “I’m truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as a brand ambassador for Gucci and Gucci Beauty. I’ll give my very best in this role. Thank you.loveeeee”
Hoorne, who has 17 million Instagram followers, was chosen by the Italian fashion house to be its first-ever Thai ambassador. This comes after Alia Bhatt, the brand’s first-ever Indian ambassador, was chosen last summer.
Gyuyoung Park, a South Korean actress, was named as Gucci’s newest global brand ambassador earlier this month, reinforcing the luxury company’s propensity for hiring brand ambassadors from Korea and other nearby Asian countries.
Park and Hoorne join fellow Gucci ambassadors from Asia — Chinese actress Ni Ni, and actor and singer Xiao Zhan — as well as other Gucci faces Kendall Jenner, Bad Bunny, Julia Garner, A$AP Rocky, and Elliott Page.
