
And the Coronavirus scare continues keeping big brands away from China!
Chanel, the French fashion brand, announced that it has postponed its fashion show scheduled to be held in Beijing in May 2020 owing to Coronavirus scare.
The century old fashion label is widely known for its apparels and perfumes.
In a statement released recently, the fashion brand said “Considering the present situation and following the guidance of Chinese authorities, Chanel has decided to postpone its project of a replica of the Paris – 31 rue Cambon 2019/20 Métiers d’art collection in May in Beijing to a later and more appropriate moment.”
The fashion label said that it is closely monitoring the whole situation and under the present circumstances, the health and well being of its team and customers hold more relevance.
As per the latest update, the deadly virus has killed over 2,000 people in China, with tourism getting severly impacted all across the globe.
Consequently, several trade shows and other major events in China have been cancelled in recent weeks over fears of Coronavirus [Also read Shanghai textile fairs postponed!].
