Underlining that her Government will take steps to recover the money swindled by certain errant entities, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has promised to take stern action against those involved in embezzling funds in the name of digital commerce.
“…some people try to swindle others by taking advantage of their bad times; we haven’t sat idle. They were arrested instantly…We will also find out where they have kept the money and what assets they have made,” reportedly, maintained the Prime Minister recently even as she attended a media briefing in capital Dhaka following her recent New York tour to attend the 76th United Nations General Assembly.
Hasina further, reportedly, maintained that investigations were on to find where these errant players have kept the money that they swindled from the people while adding, “We will refund it whenever we get the money,” adding, “the Government has done whatever it can do,” even as she called upon the journalists to expose scams at the very outset and alert the general people about the same.
