It was only recently Artimas Fashions became the exclusive manufacturer and marketer for Virat Kohli’s innerwear brand One8.
And now comes the next move! The company is set to enhance its production capacity by expanding its Dankuni and Barasat factories.
More on the plan, Nischal Puri, Managing Director, Artimas said “We have laid out our capacity plans for next 3 years. We should have an installed capacity of 10 lakh pieces per month. This would be catered to by 2 new plants in the same areas.”
Although the company has an installed capacity of producing 5 lakh garments per month, they plan to reach a target of 3.5 lakh garments produced every month by the end of FY20.
Apart from One8, which is expected to contribute 70 per cent of the revenue, the company has an activewear brand, Actimaxx that will make up the rest of the revenue.
One8 is only present on e-commerce platforms, hence Artimas is planning to expand into offline sale from January next year, from which it expects a sale of around 2 lakh garments within that time.
Nischal also shared the company’s plans to expand the One8 brand’s export market to the Middle East by December, where Actimaxx is already present.
He added “With Virat’s global appeal, we plan to venture into other cricket-playing nations such as Australia. But India will remain the most important market that will contribute to around 85 per cent of the sales.”
