With ambitions to open its first location in the country in 2023, the Nordic clothing brand Arket has its sights set on Spain. This autumn, the company, owned by H&M, the global leader in fast fashion, will debut a flagship location in Barcelona.
Although the new store’s precise location is unknown, it will stock a variety of the ready-to-wear items, men’s and women’s accessories, children’s clothing, body care items, and home furnishings offered by the Stockholm-based company.
“We are very excited to announce the opening of our first Arket store in Barcelona,” said managing director Pernilla Wohlfahrt in a statement.
Arket, which was founded in 2017, has a higher price range than other fast-fashion brands in the H&M Group’s lineup and focuses more on wardrobe staples.
Before extending to additional cities including Stockholm, Copenhagen, Brussels, and Munich, the company launched its first store back in 2017 on London’s well-known Regent Street.
Additionally, in 2021, the business opened flagship locations in Beijing, China, and Seoul, South Korea, extending its reach into the Asia market.
