The technology giant, Apple has hired Angela Ahrendts, the woman responsible for the successful revival of Burberry, to enter a completely new market segment. The brand is now going to venture into high street fashion garments and accessories, under the expertise of Angela, who will head their retail and e-commerce for the same. Apple being synonymous with the term ‘luxury,’ can finally move out of the technology hardware sector through this appointment and even though it is not yet announced as to what the collection would look like or price at, the brand is definitely on its way to reconstruct its image as a more premium brand, in the world of fashion. Not to forget is the recent hiring of former Yves Saint Laurent CEO, Paul Deneve, as their Vice President, which can also be yet another strategic move towards this massive revelation.
