Know about the first Chinese sportswear firm to join Better Cotton Initiative (BCI)!
By becoming the member of BCI, Anta Sports Product Ltd., the Chinese sportswear company, has strengthened its continual commitment to ‘sustainable development philosophy’.In a press release, Anta Sports said that it will source cotton through BCI for products that launches in the second quarter of 2020.
Expressing happiness, Ding Shizhong, Chairman and CEO, Anta Sports said that it is a honour to be recognised as the first sporstwear firm in China to join BCI. “Being a leader sportswear company in China, we completely understand the importance of sustainable development,” he added.
He further said that joining BCI showed company’s objective of blending its business operations with sustainable development.
Geneva-based BCI, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is committed to promoting greater sustainability in cotton production across the globe. BCI today has nearly 1,600 members from different parts of the world.
