After a successful temporary tenure since the fall of 2024, Andy Mounsey has been named the permanent chief financial officer of John Lewis Partnership.
Mounsey has been with the Waitrose owner for 13 years and has worked in the financial division in a variety of roles, most recently as the director of group finance and strategy.
Mounsey said he was pleased and honoured to take on the role of chief financial officer at such a crucial time for the Partnership. Both continuous improvements in customer satisfaction and significant progress in key financial metrics are apparent.
Mounsey’s efforts in the interim role was praised by Jason Tarry, chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, who also welcomed him into the permanent role.
As group sales increased 3 per cent to US $ 17.04 billion in 52 weeks to 25th January, supported by a 4.4 per cent increase in Waitrose sales to US $ 10.65 billion, John Lewis announced last month that company profits had tripled to US $ 167.78 million.
