US clothing firm True Religion has appointed Scott McCabe, the veteran from Columbia Sportswear, as the Senior Vice President of its e-commerce division.
Scott comes with a rich experience of 25 years that saw him work with esteemed global brands and retailers like Columbia Sportswear, Macy’s, Gap, Banana Republic and Tailored Brands.
Pleased over the appointment, Michael Buckley, CEO, True Religion, said that Scott’s expertise would help the company triple its e-commerce revenue, in addition to reaching 50 per cent e-commerce sales penetration by 2025.
Following True Religion’s Chapter 11 exit in 2020, the CEO had said that its restructuring plan helped cut its operating costs, reduce its debt and become profitable.
And now in 2022, amidst all challenges, True Religion is focussed on pursuing a digital-led strategy.
True Religion’s hopes from Scott is justified, considering Columbia Sportswear too had tripled online sales and maintained double-digit year-over-year revenue growth during Scott’s tenure with the company.
Set up in 2002, True Religion Brand Jeans uses premium denim, some of which is made in the United States.
