
Chinese ultra-fast-fashion specialists have become one of the most popular websites in France, according to a barometer from the French e-commerce federation (Fevad), with an average of 50 million Internet visitors consulting sales portals in the second quarter.
From the previous quarter, the top three didn’t change. It consists of Booking, LeBonCoin, and Amazon. With an average of 8.1 million visitors per day, Amazon draws in 36.8 million unique monthly visitors, or 57.6 per cent of the French population.
Vinted, a second-hand clothing provider based in Lithuania, ranks fourth with 18.5 million monthly visitors. Vinted receives 4.8 million more daily visitors than Booking and LeBonCoin combined.
Temu is now back in seventh place, down from fifth in the first quarter. The Chinese low-cost product marketplace receives 15.7 million visits every month, with 2.2 million users visiting its pages daily.
“The most visited sites on mobile are Vinted and SHEIN, with 90 per cent of the total audience for the former and 88 per cent for the latter,” notes Fevad, referring to these two portals.
Tenth place goes to SHEIN, with 14.1 million monthly visitors, after Cdiscount and Carrefour. Alibaba, a Chinese low-cost website, trails behind with 14 million monthly visits, as does its fellow countryman Aliexpress. However, the difference is greater when it comes to daily visitors: SHEIN receives 3.4 million, whereas Aliexpress receives 2 million.
Leroy Merlin, Fnac, SNCF Connect, and Airbnb follow. Ebay has 10.5 million monthly visitors, placing it ahead of Decathlon in 16th place. This puts the French platform ahead of Rakuten France, which has 9.4 million unique visitors each month on average.
