Women workers allege abuse or are these allegations false!

Are few of the women workers misusing their rights or is the factory doing damage control/hiding facts?

Women workers of one of the leading apparel manufacturing companies in Ranchi have blamed factory officials for abuse and misbehaviour.

However, the factory officials say that 8-10 women workers, who were refused increment, have been making these false allegations.

Some videos are also being circulated in this regard, wherein few women workers have been talking to local media and claiming that they are facing abuse and misconduct without any reason.

The factory has also been accused of not giving leaves to employees, even when it is highly required.

Apparel Resources approached senior factory officials in this regard and they told, “Efficiency of these few female workers has been very poor, and so we did not give them any increment. Other workers got the increment as per factory rules; therefore, these women, in particular, have been making such false allegations. There are no such instances of abuse or misbehaviour.”

Irrespective of whatever is the truth, everyone from workers to factory’s HR department has to be on their toes to avoid such conditions as it doesn’t work in anybody’s favour.
