
Production for the domestic market is a growing segment in Tirupur today, but there are many small and middle level companies who are also enhancing their capacities for exports, one such company is Rajan Exports. Exporting 30 per cent of its total production, the company is planning to increase the share of exports to 50 per cent in the coming financial year. Natrajan, Director of the company informed Apparel Online that he will be installing 100 more stitching machines in the coming months to meet the fresh capacity needs. The construction of the new unit is complete and production is expected to begin in April.
The 22-year old company, having 60 machines in-house and also working with fabricators to complete orders, is doing total business of almost Rs. 10 crore per year. After expansion, Natrajan is looking for 100 per cent growth. Exporting men, women and kidswear to Germany, Italy and France, Rajan Exports has recently started working with the US market.
