In terms of compliances, the market is quite relaxed as compared to EU and US market,” says Rajive Sharma, Director, Spark.
Currently, Spark has three factories running in Gurgaon, with niche in manufacturing woven ladies garments such as tops, dresses, jeans and pants. Apart from these, the company also manufactures knitwear garments, kidswear and accessories. With a capacity of 350 machines in each unit, Spark produces 5-7000 garments in a day. The company is well equipped with latest technology and a centralized embroidery team which takes care of the value addition part of the garment.
Talking about the specialty of Spark, Rajive says “Buyers are looking at quick deliveries at the end of the season, which is more important than the price factor. We have systems geared for the same and can execute last minute orders with perfection.” Though the market has been facing dearth of business, Rajive is hopeful that the situation will improve in the coming next two years, the only problem or threat will be the availability of skilled labour.
