In a major boost to Odisha’s industrial landscape, the 137th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), presided over by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, has approved 17 investment proposals totalling Rs. 3,878.86 crore (US $ 449 million), which is expected to generate 10,584 new job opportunities across 11 districts in Odisha.
Technical textiles and textiles and apparel are two of the many industries covered by the approved projects.
The state’s dedication to promoting inclusive and wide-ranging industrial development is shown in this varied range. This tremendous momentum is in line with the government’s long-term goal of “Samruddha Odisha by 2036” and represents an important chapter in its first year in office.
In Khordha, MAS India Clothing Private Limited would invest Rs. 885 crore (US $ 102 million) to build Fabric Mill-1, a textile processing mill that will generate 1,700 jobs in the textile and apparel industry. With an additional investment of Rs. 51 crore (US $ 5.91 million), Isolloyd Engineering Technologies Limited would establish a ceramic fibre and related product manufacturing facility in Jajpur, creating 175 jobs in the technical textile sector.
By 2036, the Odisha government is determined to realise its vision of a Samruddha Odisha. The state’s first-year milestones demonstrate that historic industrial expansion is the result of careful planning, quick clearances, and investor-friendly regulations rather than merely a goal.
