Freudenberg Performance Materials, a leading global supplier of innovative technical textiles, has named Jens Reinig, currently Senior Vice President (SVP) Finance & Controlling, as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from 1st April 2025. He takes over for Marco Altherr, who announced his own departure from the Freudenberg Group on 31st March 2025, in order to pursue new endeavours outside the organisation.
Dr. Andreas Raps, the CEO of Freudenberg Performance Materials, expressed his gratitude for his professional and personal cooperation with Marco Altherr on the management board. “He introduced valuable forward-looking initiatives and made a significant contribution to the company’s success,” he added.
Jens Reinig has extensive business knowledge and many years of management experience. In his capacity as CFO, he will provide additional insightful advice, Raps added, and he looks forward to working closely with them to shape the company’s future.
In 2008, Jens Reinig joined the Freudenberg Group, leading the Corporate Controlling team at Freudenberg Nonwovens, the company that preceded Freudenberg Performance Materials. In the Finance & Controlling division of the business, he later held a number of positions, eventually being appointed SVP Finance & Controlling of the division in 2020, a position he held until his recent appointment to the management board.
