Retired English footballer David Beckham and his business associate Simon Fuller have signed a joint-venture with Global Brands, an entity that groups together all of the brands’ activities and licenses held by Li&Fung. It will further develop the ‘Beckham’ brand to new categories of products. Global Brands has a portfolio of more than 350 labels, most of which are licensing agreements. Licensed brands in its portfolio include products for Calvin Klein, Dockers, Tommy Hilfiger and Under Armour. David Beckham has already created an underwear line for H&M and collaborated with Adidas and Belstaff in the past.
