Fashion mannequins (manikins) are of utmost significance for product development and more importantly for high-fashion garments. Keeping the same in mind fashion mannequins developed under the SizeGERMANY project can now be ordered by product developers’ from all over the world. A joint venture of Hohenstein Institute and Human Solutions, sizes for ladies’ wear 38 and 46 are available and will be followed by sizes 50, 54, 36 and 42. Subsequently menswear sizes 50 and 54 and children’s wear sizes 152 and 140 for girls and boys will follow.
The dimensions of the avatars correspond exactly to those of the SizeGERMANY size table and of the fashion manikins, generated from measuring a total of 13,362 men, women and children from 6 to 87 years, using the latest 3D scanning technology in a contact-free procedure.
The new fashion manikins have very flexible upper body, lower body and full-body forms. Soft inserts in the chest, abdomen, hips and buttocks facilitate the try-on procedure and sizing & fitting control. They are also equipped with flexibly rotating arms and an optional, height-adjustable metal stand can also be ordered.
