As part of a continuous change in its executive team, the French luxury company Chanel has hired three new directors, according to documents filed with the UK’s Companies House.
Among the two appointees is Simone Bagel-Trah. The German entrepreneur joined Henkel AG & Co.’s supervisory board in 2001 and was appointed chairman of the consumer products and chemical company in 2009.
Additionally, since April 2014, Bagel-Trah has been on the supervisory board of Bayer AG, a pharmaceutical firm.
Teresa Yuk Yin Ko, the founding partner of Freshfield’s Asia equity capital markets practice and the chairman of the company’s China division, joins Bagel-Trah on the Chanel board.
William Touche, a former partner and vice chairman of Deloitte UK, has also received a director nomination.
With the most recent onboarding, Chanel’s board will have an equal number of male and female members starting in April. This represents yet another significant change in the company’s leadership, which appointed Leena Nair as CEO in 2022 and Matthieu Blazy as creative director in 2024.
