Fakir Fashions Ltd (FFL) observed the Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women, emphasising workplace safety for women in the readymade garments (RMG) sector in Bangladesh. The event aimed to raise awareness about FFL’s policies designed to protect female employees, including the establishment of an Anti-Harassment Committee and a Participatory Committee.
Participants engaged in discussions highlighting these policies, which include anonymous suggestion boxes for direct communication with management on safety concerns. Informational videos were presented to educate attendees on addressing workplace harassment and advocating for their rights.
FFL reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe working environment for women, recognising their vital contributions to the industry, and promoting Bangladesh’s reputation in global RMG manufacturing.
