Tommy Hilfiger’s previously-flagged fashion game, called FashionVerse, has been unveiled, with Hilfiger Ventures calling its debut a ‘breakthrough’.
The designer, along with game publisher Tilting Point and developer Brandible, co-founded a private investment firm that created an interactive fashion game for mobile devices.
It is available through the Netflix mobile app as well as iOS and Android devices. Hilfiger, who “wanted to scale fashion through an immersive, community-based game that capitalises on the most current technology,” is the creator of the game’s concept.
“It creates photorealistic avatars, settings, and props, to provide a stunning virtual experience where everyone is a creator,” according to Brandible’s unique AI model.
In FashionVerse, users can participate in design challenges where they must “create mood boards in Trendsetter mode or perfectly curated fashion sets in Stylist mode, each of which other players vote upon.”
In addition to the opportunity to win prizes and discover trends from actual fashion manufacturers, there are many sharing options. Additionally, according to the makers, “FashionVerse’s cornerstones are diversity and inclusion, as it features models across a wide range of sizes, ethnicities, and abilities.”
In the weeks after launch, a number of virtual event Pop-Ups in association with well-known fashion, entertainment, art, and beauty firms will be revealed.
The Pop-Ups will have specific tasks centred around the campaign themes of the participating companies, apparel from their most recent collections, and exclusive prizes for players who finish every branded challenge.
