Michael Kors has named Dahyun as an ambassador for the New York brand, as the luxury label seeks to expand its presence in Asia.
“Introducing Dahyun, member of the global group Twice, as our newest global brand ambassador,” said the Capri Holdings-owned company via an Instagram post.
Dahyun, whose full name is Kim Da-hyun, is a member of the South Korean girl group Twice, a K-pop band created by JYP Entertainment. Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu are the other nine members of the group.
Prior to accepting the position of brand ambassador for Michael Kors, Dahyun visited both the spring and fall 2023 collections runway shows during New York Fashion Week. In Aventura Mall, a shopping centre located just outside of Miami, Florida, Michael Kors opened a new Michael Kors lifestyle store in July.
According to parent company Capri’s most recent trade update, sales of Michael Kors, its flagship brand, decreased by over 11 per cent to $910 million during the fourth quarter as Asia sales increased somewhat as a result of a recovery in China demand.
