And now two of its much reputed brands Peacocks and Jaeger have also collapsed into administration!
The Philip Day-owned brands have also appointed Tony Wright and Alastair Massey partners at FRP as administrators. This was announced yesterday (19 November).
Notably, no store closures or redundancies have been made on appointment of the aforementioned administrators.
Following the appointment, Tony Wright said that the firm is now in advanced discussions with many parties and is working hard to secure a future for both Peacocks Stores Limited and Jaeger Retail Limited.
Here it is important to note that Bonmarché, the apparel retailer that was bought by the Peacock Group in 2002, is not a part of the administration.
While the renowned apparel brand Peacocks has over 400 stores with 4,369 people, London-based Jaeger has 76 stores and concessions with staff strength of 347.
