Vapor Apparel, a manufacturer and decorator of performance apparel, specializing in apparel engineered for dye sublimation and sublimation print services using a heat press, is expanding by opening a 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at an 8.5-acre site in Union, USA. More than half of the 114 jobs promised to be created in five years have been filled, and the owners are further planning to expand this year by adding a distribution warehouse.

Chris Bernat, Co-Founder, Vapor Apparel said, “We know there is a history of textile in the area. It is strategically located near several suppliers which is required for our made in the USA lines. It is close to Spartan burg as well, which offer us a larger potential workforce. While not a typical cut-and-sew textile operation, workers use sewing machines, rolls of fabric, shelves with bobbins of colourful thread and several pairs of scissors.”
Around seven years back, the company started with customized printing for customers including apparel brand like New Balance, and expanded its markets beyond the US to Canada, Australia, Germany, UK and Caribbean. It was named one of the 25 fastest-growing companies in South Carolina twice by the SC Chamber of Commerce.
