The Society of Dyers and Colourists Education Charity, India (SDCEC) is all geared up to organise Young Talent Search 2016 on March 25. The competition invites students to take part in a talent hunt, providing them an ideal platform to place their talent on exhibit. The theme of the competition is “Advances in Colouration”.
SDCEC (India), which is based in Mumbai, accounts for SDC’s largest overseas presence and aims at communicating the science of colour in a changing world. It must be noted that SDC is a UK-based independent educational charity.
Through this event, the Society of Dyers and Colourists Education Charity aims to discover young talents in the industry and encourage high participation. The guidelines laid by SDCEC for the students includes a 10-minute presentation. This will be followed by a question and answer session.

The students need to submit a CD, containing a technical paper and an abstract in a word file, and a hard copy of the paper in A4-size paper. The selected outstation candidates will be provided accommodation in Mumbai. The competition will award cash prizes to the winner and the runner-ups in categories of Technical and Fashion / Design. While the winner of the first prize will win Rs 10,000, the second prize and the third prize winners will receive cash of Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,500 respectively.
