Shopify, a major player in e-commerce, has expanded its services to brick-and-mortar retailers in the UK and Ireland by launching PoS Go. This new offering is designed as an all-in-one Point of Sale (PoS) mobile selling device and represents an extension of Shopify’s existing PoS solutions.
PoS Go is being introduced in the UK to assist merchants of all sizes in reaching consumers wherever they choose to shop, from the store counter to curbside pickup. This innovative device includes a built-in barcode scanner, enabling merchants to initiate checkouts anywhere within their physical stores. It also provides access to detailed product information, customer notes, purchase history, and the ability to create in-store shopping carts that can be emailed to customers for completion later.
Deann Evans, Managing Director for EMEA at Shopify stated, “Commerce is happening all around us – online, offline, and everywhere in between – so it’s vital to continue powering growth in all areas. The most innovative brands in the world, like Gymshark, Huel, and Ooni, build their businesses on Shopify.
Furthermore, retailers using PoS Go can access sales, analytics, and inventory data from every sales channel, streamlining their operations. Any updates made in the Shopify admin automatically sync across the entire business.
