Uster, Swiss manufacturer of analytical instruments and online monitoring systems for the textile industry, has launched a USTER Jossi Vision Shield N fibre cleaning system offering complete control over contamination and defect.
The technology combines two automated solutions for quality monitoring which is specially developed for high-output synthetic nonwoven industry.
The material has high throughput, with wear and tear on machine through abrasive fibres adding extra constraints. Therefore, the production lines demand tough standards for which the company has rolled out Jossi Vision Shield N fibre cleaning system that meets the exact requirements of a woven material and is designed to be installed on high-production lines.
The machine offers the best possible initial inspection and removal of contamination at the fibre inspection stage and at the end of the production sequence it automates detection and marketing of all the major defects caused during production and of any remaining contamination.
The construction of the machine is done with durable material that uses stainless steel to avoid abrasion when the fibre comes in contact with the machine.
The fibre cleaner’s slim design fits perfectly into the existing lines and delivers the accurate detection result about the disturbing contamination types in nonwovens, including coloured fibres, metal or wood particles and grease deposits.
The machine has been manufactured in close collaboration with the international non-woven companies and includes countless hours of field tests.
Though the machine is brand new, it integrates the well-proven technology which was introduced in the market 20 years ago. More than 3,500 systems are currently installed worldwide and the technology has been continuously improved.
The machine features Quick Tech which offers extra assurance in which the machine automatically learns to correct colours of each new raw material lot within seconds while avoiding any false ejections when changing lots. Also, every ejected contaminant can be viewed on the touchscreen to verify that only the required material is removed.
