Vahdet Tekstil Makina, Turkey-based textile machinery specialist, has successfully developed a process which allows converting conventional tubular circular knitting machines into open width knitting machines. The company reports that it has converted more than 500 knitting machines worldwide so far. This innovative process has been certified with Utility Model Certificate by Turkish Patent Institute.
According to the manufacturer, the conversion of old knitting machines helps achieve better energy- and time-efficiency as well as higher performance. This will further result into increased fabric production.

Vahdet Teksti has achieved this conversion rate by installing a whole new takedown system, machine doors and legs in various kinds of circular knitting machines, including fleece, rib, interlock and plush knitting machines.
