A lot of Chinese companies which were original equipment manufacturers for Japanese sewing machine brands, are now bringing up their own brands in the market. With the growing knowledge of English language and marketing strategies, these Chinese machines are posing a serious competitive edge. Joining the league is Sansin Enterprises that imports Sunsir machines. “With the adequate knowledge of machine manufacturing for some of the best brands, we’re making our own machines in Japanese style but at 60 per cent cheaper price,” informed P. Nitin from Sansin Enterprises.
The company had a complete range of machines on display such as, lockstitch, chainstitch, flatlock, overlock and more required in shirt and pants manufacturing. “The quality of machines are comparable to those of JUKI and Brother since they do not have their own production facilities, they source the machines and sell on their brand name,” Nitin confirmed. He added that while India was doing better earlier, now Bangladesh is a bigger market. In India, Delhi and Bangalore are good markets for the company as they take 50 per cent and 40 per cent share, respectively, of the company’s products sold in India.
