Sony Corporation, representing high-end Chinese brands Max and Zusun in Bangladesh, is looking to give a face-lift to the reputation attached to Chinese machines.
“Our machines are priced higher than the other Chinese sewing machines, because we promise quality and reliability,” shared Md Reza Ul Mahmud, GM, Sony Corporation.
Operating in Bangladesh for a decade, the company has a marked presence with installations in leading companies like Al Muslim Group, Patriot Group, Tex Euro BD, Kenpark Group, Univogue Group, Anupam Hosiery Ltd.
“The performance of our machines is reflected in the scale of manufacturers using our machines,” added Mahmud, who is looking at competing with European and Japanese machinery suppliers.
Enjoying a share of about 20 per cent in terms of Chinese machines, Sony Corporation has a team of Chinese technicians stationed in Bangladesh, service centres in Dhaka and Chittagong, and a stock of spare parts in the country for providing unfaltering support to its users.
The comprehensive catalogue of Sony Corporation includes specialised sewing machines for denim and other woven fabrics from Zusun, and sewing machines for knit products from Max, along with band knife cutters, fusing machines, pressing machines, needle detectors and other finishing equipment from Max.
MAX-450CS, the Fusing Machine from Max, comes with a seamless fusing belt, special conveyor belt to prevent deviation, a precise electronic thermostat and an easy-to-clean durable TEFLON heat-proof belt. The machine consumes 4.5 kW power and can provide a temperature between the range of 50-200℃. The belt moves with a speed varying from 0-8 m/min and has a fusing width of 450mm.
Highlight machines from Zusun’s catalogue include CM-380, a high speed chain-stitch sewing machine. The machine comes with a cranked type looper mechanism for improved durability, an auto-lubrication mechanism, and is capable of running at 5,000 RPM. The stitch length varies from 1.4 to 4 mm. The machine range comes with three sub-classes of single needle, double needle and transverse three needles.
