EXENTA (formerly Simparel), a US-based IT company that provides software solutions for the apparel industry, has debuted a new Shopfloor 3PM™ (Third-Party Manufacturing) cloud solution. The new IT solution will help in real-time tracking of production status despite geographic diversities.
It will enable brands and retailers to keep a check on the on-going manufacturing activities by using a standard web browser. Information like order status, work-in-process (WIP), production orders, product quality, and more from third-party providers, contractors, or owned and operated factories, will be easily accessible on Shopfloor 3PM™.
The solution uses Android tablets to collect relevant production related information from various key checkpoints such as cutting, parts construction, select assembly operations, quality control inspections, finishing, packing, and shipping. The data collected is then sent to cloud and made visible to the authorised users.
Users of EXENTA’s Shopfloor SFC system offer a wide range of information on individual production operations as well as time and attendance, up/downtime, efficiency, utilisation, incentive pay, capacity planning, and scheduling. Option of summary reports can also be availed through the system.
“We are already seeing strong interest from major retailers in this exciting solution,” said Roberto Mangual, President and CEO, EXENTA.
The company decided to strongarm buyers and sourcing and supply chain managers with the transparency and control by giving them the opportunity to have a real-time visibility on the production status from factories around the globe.
“Meeting customers’ demand in today’s fast-paced business environment requires that both buyers and sellers keep on top of manufacturing to stay ahead of the game”, explained Justin Hershoran, Director of Real-time Analytics, EXENTA.
