As ‘Make in India’ wave is strongly circulating in the country, apparel technology suppliers are leaving no stone unturned to leverage the business opportunity and lure the customers with indigenously produced equipment and machinery.
Bengaluru-based GA Morgan Dynamics Private Limited, an Indian subsidiary of Italy-based fashion, textile and automotive technology provider Morgan Tecnica, has indigenously developed a range of allied equipment for the cutting industry in India.
According to Anandakumar Duraisamy, MD, GA Morgan Dynamics Private Limited, the manufacturing of allied equipment such as automatic tubular spreading machine, pinup table (www.pin2match.com), automatic inspection machine and automatic relaxing machine is done in India.
Elaborating further, Anand said that one of such products is automatic relaxing machine which does have automated loading mechanism for flat folded fabric. The machine can load and stack fabric without human intervention; it doesn’t require any storage system; no need is there for trolley also. “We have designed a specialised tray mechanism that eliminates the need for trolley,” told Anand to Apparel Resources.
GA Morgan has also developed a new tubular spreading machine made in India which can do one side alignment as well as central alignment which solves a crucial technical issue for the innerwear industry. “The response has been great as we are partners with all major innerwear and knitwear manufacturers in India such as – Rupa & Co., JG Hosiery (Amul), Dollar Industries and Lux Industries and many others,” informed Anand.
Apart from what has already been launched, GA Morgan is coming up with an automatic cut part inspection part – that’s Made in India – which will help cutting room team efficiently inspect cut parts before moving them on to sewing lines. “The machine is in the second stage of production and will soon be launched,” stated Anand.
