Lectra scored 99 out of 100 in the 2020 Gender Equality Index and termed it as exemplary results in gender equality.
This score testifies to a human resources policy prioritising in the first place the skills and performance of each individual and a long-standing commitment of the company in favour of equality between women and men.
It’s worth noting here that the French Government made it mandatory for the companies in 2019 to publish Gender Equality Index annually.
This Index makes it possible to measure the performance of French companies in terms of equal treatment of wages through defined indicators such as pay gap, individual rate of increase, rate of promotion, percentage of employees having benefited from an increase at their return from maternity leave, and gender distribution of the ten highest salaries.
Back in 2019, of the 14,040 companies with more than 250 employees referenced in Ile-de-France (a French region), only 121 achieved a score of 99 or more, or less than 1 per cent of filers.
“We are very proud of this score. It reflects our human resources policy, which primarily values the skills and performance of everyone and the company’s long-standing commitment to gender equality. It reflects Lectra’s desire to respect equal opportunities, which includes the presence of five women amongst Lectra’s top ten salaries in France,” says Regis Bevillon, Vice President of Human Resources (France), Lectra.
