Gerber Technology, a Lectra company that aims at supporting businesses across industries with its cutting-edge technologies, has partnered with Twine Solution Ltd. to integrate digital thread & yarn dyeing system into its micro-factory at the Innovation Centre in New York City (USA).
It’s pertinent to mention here that Twine Solution Ltd. is a technology start-up developing a proprietary, revolutionary, digital thread dyeing system and digital dye to match algorithm-based application.
Twine’s system allows companies to get the desired thread colour match for any customised prints.
“Our TS-1800 machine will be installed at the Gerber Innovation Centre in New York City in early September. We are looking forward to reshaping the current textile manufacturing processes to meet today’s digital Industry 4.0 standards worldwide,” reads a LinkedIn post of Twine Solution Ltd.
TS-1800 machine is said to dye various types of white or raw, new or recycled polyester thread and dyes it using Twine TDI inks (CMYK). The thread is cured during the process ensuring the ink penetrates the fibre.
According to Gerber Technology, its partnership with Twine Solution will help push the fashion and textile industry forward by helping reduce operation costs while promoting sustainability.
