Datacolor, the US-based pioneer in offering colour management solutions and colour communication technology, has launched ‘SpectraVision’ which will allow companies to accurately measure and communicate the colour of the materials that were earlier could not be measured.
Currently, only one solid colour can be assessed digitally, leaving no scope to assess the rest 50 per cent of materials, such as multi-coloured prints, trim, yarn, zippers and lace. These materials are evaluated visually, which is an inefficient, costly and subjective process.
“SpectraVision is poised to revolutionise the textile industry as the first solution to enable consistent, repeatable colour measurement of these so-called ‘unmeasurables’,” said Diane Geisler, Vice President – Marketing, Datacolor.
With the latest Datacolor solution, retailers and suppliers can cut down on colour approval process costs by 50 per cent. Furthermore, SpectraVision will help decrease strike-offs, lower colour standard maintenance costs, and reduce physical sample shipments.
Not only the cost, the newest innovation will also help in optimising the time taken for the product to reach the consumer. It can slash weeks spent during development and production process which gives retail and fashion brands an edge in the market.
Markedly, Datacolor provides software, instruments and services to leading brand, retailers and manufacturers to measure the right colour. The company provides sales, services and support in over 100 countries worldwide.
