
A fashion institute named SDPS Women’s College of Fashion Design (Indore) is going to organise its annual show ‘Effloresce’ on 13th May 2018. The show will highlight design collections of young students (batch 2014-18).
Fashion designers Vikram Phadnis, Ken Ferns and Meher Castelino – the first Miss India and a freelance fashion and marketing consultant will also be present at the event.
Rikhil Nagpal, Head of Department, College of Fashion & Interior Design informed, “Focussing on theme Cosmos Essentials, our students have worked on avant-garde collections with a concept of sustainability and inspired from Marine Pollution, Gender Fluidity, Aurora, Yin-Yan, Santorini, etc.”
He also apprised that the students will also showcase ‘Futuristic’ garments that will present an idea of fashion in the future. Keeping in mind themes like elf, forest queen, Dracula and many more will mend the fabric of observation that people have.
Notably, SDPS has been central India’s leading educational group for girls based in Indore for over two decades.
Affiliated to SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, the institute offers B. Design and Certificate courses in fashion design. The college also has collaborations with some UK-based universities.
