
Technical textile weaver Arville has installed new machinery worth over £1.2 million, for expanding its fabric engineering capabilities.
The new installation includes six rapier weaving looms and a high grade warping machine that will help the company to expand its production capacity at its Wetherby, England site.
The machine will serve the purpose and demand of wide range of industries. The investment is aimed on to increase the year-on-year double-digit growth and to meet the increasing demand of its customers. The processing of these new installations will start by early 2019.
The Comsat UNI-EVO Section warping machine and Picanol OptiMax-i rapier weaving looms are expected to create an additional 20% production capacity to the site, allowing for further expansion.
“Our strategic aim is to position the business as a ‘best-in-class’ specialist in the design, weaving, finishing, coating and fabrication of technical textiles;” said Andy Smith, Group Head, Marketing, Arville.
The company originally started with the weaving of woollen uniforms for the public sector over 60 years ago. Since then the company has come up with many new innovations in the manufacturing of textiles.
Arville has recently been certified with ISO 14001 for its commitment in highest environmental standards in its work for industries like defence, aerospace, food, medicine, automotive etc.
