From being a garment provider to various garment manufacturers since 1999, Amith Garment Services has come a long way and established itself as one of the leaders in the domain of testing equipment for textiles and garment industry. This Bangalore based company boasts of a clientele based all over India with 70 per cent of their business in Kolkata and 30 per cent in Ludhiana and Delhi. The company has widened its clientele recently by shipping equipment to Uganda and USA.
Representing his company at the fair, Jagadeesh H, Owner said, “The USP of our company is providing maintenance-free and extremely cost-effective equipment.” The products showcased by the company at the GTE included the Peel Bond Strength Tester used to measure interlining strength, i.e. the strength required to separate the fabric from the fused interlining, which defines resistance of the fusing to various dry-cleaning and washing activities, and further its life. Jagadeesh claimed that with the help of this innovation one can actually judge the performance of a fusing machine. The other machine on display was the Button Snap Pull Tester which as per Jagadeesh is popular with major brands like H&M, GAP, NIKE, etc. The assessment of snap attachment strength is an important criterion especially in the design and manufacturing of garments for infants and children wear.
While most of the equipments are manufactured by Amith Garment Services, some are sourced from local vendors too. However, strict quality checking is done by the internal quality division based on standards set by ASTM and AATCC which defines the necessary specifications of the equipment.
