Bangladesh and Green Factory… Both are synonymous with each other as the country has the highest number of green factories (183) in the world. That’s not all; 9 out of the top 10 and 40 out of the top 100 green garment factories are located in Bangladesh. The recent transformation of factories is no less than ‘magical’ and rightly so as Rana Plaza incident made a massive dent on the country’s credibility.
However, as sustainability comes at a cost, it should be a shared responsibility of all stakeholders including brands, Government and factories.
