The Autumn/Winter 2023 collection by Danish menswear brand Iso.Poetism by Tobias Birk Nielsen, a member of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s talent development programme, CPHFW Talent, has been influenced by the interaction between man and environment.
Models fashioned from recycled newspapers, cardboard crates and deadstock textiles manoeuvred around floating boulders and stones.
In order to emphasise the sloppy cargo pants with visible zippers, wraparound padded jackets and stone-inspired tie-dyed boxy sweatshirts intended to depict the vulnerability and shifting nature of the world, the set was created by the designer for his Copenhagen Osidian Society (13)* line.
Additionally, a water-repellent coating composed of 57 percent recycled PA and 43 percent organic cotton has been applied to all the PFC-free technological fabrics.
“Since I was a kid, I’ve been collecting stones. It started as a modest hobby inherited from my sweet grandma. When beginning, it mainly had a focus around visual attention, simply to find beautiful and unique shapes and colours,” said Birk Nielsen, Founder and Creative Director of Iso.Poetism.
