The runway presentations of Spring/Summer 2018 recently came to a close for fashion’s big 4 cities, which brings with it an outbreak of new directionality for next season. In terms of prints, the gamut circles around a variety of artistry and classical options like floral and animal prints that have a somewhat handmade look to them.
In times of catastrophe, fashion often looks to the brighter side and designers provide an escape for shoppers looking to buy the idea of a happy life. Hence, the entire seasons’ offering was high on bright colours and feel good patterns that varied from colourful dizzying stripes to abstract graphics which appear to have childlike fancy in-built in them.
Gurpreet Kohli of Indo Transworld Exports expounded the print directions for their own Spring 2018 collection saying that there will be a lot of checks in play this summer, especially simpler patterns like gingham which are appearing to be the bestsellers.
In addition to this classic, we are also looking for stripes in single colours, mainly keeping things monochrome in general, in both tops and dresses. On the whimsical side, our team is also working on variations of enchanting birds in simple colours to add a hint of uncomplicated variation to our assortment.
