Indore’s SDPS Women’s College recently organised its annual fashion show ‘Effloresce’. Entwining Eras was the theme of the show and students highlighted their creativity through collections like The Game of Survival, Unkind Fairy, Azalea – The Blooming Beauty, Riwayat, and Whimsical Intersperse…
Ken Ferns, an alumnus of London College of Arts and the University of Arts, London; and designer Vilvin Sabu were the expert guests for the show. Mrs. India Globe Elakshi Gupta, Ms. Maharashtra Manpreet Kaur and international supermodel Meena Ahir also walked the ramp for the show.
People’s choice award was given for ‘Riwayat’ to Shailja Samaiya, Divya Parwal and Shiddhi Vyas, while the most commercially viable collection was ‘Dark Delicacy’ created by Megha Lalwani, Farha Deeba, Anusha Arora, and ‘Riwayat’ by Shailja Samaiya, Divya Parwal and Shiddhi Vyas.
‘Whimsical Intersperse’ was selected as the best creative collection and it was designed by Aayushi Jain, Sonal Meghani, Anjali Guryani and Rakshanda Dubey.
The best eco-friendly collection was ‘Lost in the Wild’ by Saloni Jadiya, Kunika Somani, Tulsi Patel, and ‘Evolving Ethnicity’ by Vidhi Maheshwari, Charul Patidar, Himanshi Soni and Alankriti Shrivastava.
Among other awards, the best-stylised collection was ‘Game of Survival’ by Khushboo Kothari and Sakshi Tonk.
