Textile Commissioner of India, Kavita Gupta, will inaugurate a three-day Buyer Seller Meet cum exhibition in Mumbai on November 26, 2017.
The event, to be organised by Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner (Navi Mumbai) in association with Mumbai Textile Merchants Mahajan Associations, is aimed to assist powerloom weavers in promoting their products.
Around 5,000 trade visitors are expected to take part in the exhibition.
All types of fabrics, dress materials, sarees, dhoti, towels, shirting, Suiting, chudidar, home furnishing products, etc. will be exhibited at the event.
The event is expected to be attended by weavers from Mumbai, Bhiwandi, Ichalkaranji, Solapur, Malegaon, Burhanpur, Ujjain, Varanasi and from other parts of India.
The exhibitors will get an opportunity to lock fresh orders for the months ahead at the meet.
Dignitaries like Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) president Rahul Mehta; S. Balaraju, Executive Director, SRTEPC; Dhiraj Kothari, President, Mumbai Textile Merchant Mahajan Association; and Purshottam Vanga, Chairman of Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL) will also attend the event.
