Since its inception in 2011, Texprocess exhibition has come a long way to become the global congregation of technologies for the processing of textiles and flexible materials. The 2013 edition of the fair was attended by 330 exhibitors and more than 19,000 trade visitors. With all the possibilities to surpass last edition’s statistics, Texprocess 2015 would be held concurrently with the Techtextil fair for the third time, covering all process stages of textile, apparel, home textile, automotive upholstery and technical textile manufacturing from designing, cutting, CAD/CAM processes and preparations for processing, via processing technologies and methods, to garment and textile logistics, ironing, finishing, testing, waste disposal, recycling and environmental protection. Endorsing the show’s success, Josef Klein, Head of Technical Centre, Hugo Boss states, “The apparel industry no longer expects big technical breakthroughs, rather smaller but worthwhile improvements that streamline or make processes safer are considered important. The same has been recognized by Texprocess and the fair has carved out a place for itself as the platform where information and networking in the technical and personal spheres are the backbone. For us, Texprocess was a success in all respects.”
Besides the showcase of technologies and solutions, Texprocess has four special events – Texprocess Innovation Award, The Innovative Apparel Show, IT@Texprocess and Texprocess Forum.
To be held from 4th May to 7th May 2015 at Frankfurt am Main, Frankfurt, Germany, the 2015 edition of the Texprocess fair with more than 300 exhibitors is segregated in 20 different product groups broadly divided as sewing automats, cutting room equipment, solutions for designing and product development, accessories, surface embellishments such as printing and embroidery, washing and finishing equipment and solutions for water and energy conservation. Besides the showcase of technologies and solutions, Texprocess has four special events – Texprocess Innovation Award, The Innovative Apparel Show, IT@Texprocess and Texprocess Forum. A tradition since the shows inception, the Texprocess Innovation Award for outstanding innovative developments, technologies and methods of processing textiles and other flexible materials, which have not been in the market for more than two years, or are scheduled for a launch in the near future has been a big draw at the fair. Last year the award was given to C-Tex colour matching solution, which can be retrofitted onto the existing C-Tex Fabric Inspection and Relaxing Machines besides other makes and models of inspection and re-rolling equipment. The Innovative Apparel Show will present design collection of students from four leading design colleges and universities. After the presentation, the students will explain the processes and materials used in making the products.
Another crowd puller at the Texprocess fair is the IT@Texprocess segment, showcasing solutions in the areas of ERP, PDM-PLM, production planning, sales and distribution, e-commerce, retail and floor-space management, logistics and CAD. The focus would be on product lifecycle management systems (PLM), cloud applications and 3D CAD systems that permit individual garments to be produced in real time and without fittings.
At the Texprocess Forum, experts from the fields of science and business will share their knowledge on subjects of quality assurance, sustainability, sourcing, product development, supply chain management and emerging sourcing nations such as Ethiopia, in over 40 lectures and panel discussions. Texprocess Forum is free of charge for visitors and will be held in Hall 5.
To be held concurrently with the Texprocess fair is Techtextil, a leading international trade fair for technical textiles and non-wovens. With over 1,300 exhibitors from 48 countries and around 27,500 visitors from 97 different nations, Techtextil will showcase products for a wide range of applications in segments of innovative fibres and yarns, smart textiles, coated textiles, composite textiles, surface treatment technologies and other innovative products with niche applications in workwear and sportswear.
