
Taiwan Textile Federation, under the slogan ‘Think Taiwan for Textiles’ plans to display all kinds of Taiwanese textiles in the upcoming SaigonTex exhibition, scheduled to be held from March 30 to April 2 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The Taiwanese textile industry has proved its mettle as a world leader in development of environmentally friendly textiles. For example, S’Café, developed by Singtex, uses recycled coffee grounds to enhance polyester textiles with coffee’s natural ability to block odours. Similarly, Da-Ai has developed a collection of yarns, fabrics and garments based on recycled plastic bottles, collected in Taiwan. Secondly, Bluesign designation is the strongest statement in regard to the environment and sustainable practices.

Many international brands like Nike, The North Face, Adidas, Jack Wolfskin, VF Corp, Columbia, Lululemon, Under Armour and others rely on Taiwanese companies for innovation and sustainability.
