The state is poised to position itself as India’s preferred gateway to the east and emerge as logistic hub of global repute with a skilled workforce and robust incubation/innovation culture. The Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Investment Meet will present a chance to explore investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, spread across the selected sectors. Apart from this, the event will bring together thought leaders to discuss tomorrow’s challenges and today’s opportunities. State Government of Andhra Pradesh will be providing land for Textile & Apparel Parks, assistance to apparel training institutions and trainees, interest subsidy up to 12.5% per annum, power Tariff subsidy at Rs. 1-1.50 per unit depending on category, 100% reimbursement of stamp duty on lease of land, and capital subsidy linked to investments, ranging from 20% of fixed assets to 10% of project cost.
The State is focussing on the entire textile chain starting from ginning & pressing, cotton spinning, weaving, dyeing & processing, knitting, garment/made-ups, machine carpeting, machine embroidery and any other activities/processes like crimping, texturizing, twisting, winding, sizing, etc. within the textile value chain.
Andhra Pradesh is currently India’s 2nd largest spinning and processing sector, and houses an integrated textile park at Edlapadu and the Brandix India Apparel City – a unique integrated apparel city.
