
Shima Seiki US Inc., the US subsidiary of leading Japanese computerized knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki is going to host third ‘Global 3D (G3D) Knitting Seminar & Workshop’ at the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator (BF+DA) on 25th-26th April in New York, USA with an aim to bring together representatives from the apparel industry to focus on the future.
On display will be company’s flagship MACH2XS WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine featuring the original SlideNeedle on four needle beds and spring-type moveable sinkers. The compact SWG061N2 WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine which offers flexible production as well as the capability for producing technical textiles for sports, medical and other industrial applications and the new SVR123SP computerized flat knitting machine that features a loop presser bed with inlay capability, offering new and exciting possibilities in hybrid knit-weave textiles, will also be presented. In addition, the compact SSR112 workhorse machine will also be showcased at the event.
The company will also demonstrate SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system that integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.
It may be mentioned here that the company collaborated with BF+DA, an educational and professional resource for the fashion industry for the third edition of the event.
