Japanese pioneer in computerised knitting technology Shima Seiki Mfg. Ltd. and its Brazilian subsidiary Brastema Tecnologia Textil Ltd. are set to exhibit at the upcoming 15th edition of Tech Fashion Show. The event will take place in two cities of Brazil. It will first be held in Caxias do Su on 12th of July and then in Águas de Lindóia on 15th and 18th of July.
Shima Seiki will showcase its latest and innovative knitting solutions at the show. The company’s traditional shaping machines which include SVR series; SIR series and SSR series will be up on display during the show. Besides these, the new SRY machine, capable of knitting ‘hybrid knit-weave’ fabrics, will also be presented.
Not just shaping machines, Shima Seiki is also geared up to exhibit its latest computerised flat knitting technology – MACH2XS Wholegarment knitting machine. It’s worth mentioning here that MACH2XS is the flagship knitting machine of Shima Seiki which has features such as the SlideNeedle located on four needle beds as well as the company’s patented spring-loaded movable sinker system. The machine minimises dependency upon labour-intensive sewing and linking operations by maintaining the high level of efficiency all through the knitting process, claims Shima Seiki.
Also, on demonstration will be the ‘Total Fashion System’ concept where Shima Seiki will bring on board its SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system. Designed to support the apparel supply chain with its virtual sampling feature, it facilitates the user with the opportunity of improve the design and evaluation process. APEX3 design system minimises the time consumption, reduces the cost and helps in material saving during the sampling process with its ultra-realistic simulation feature.
