Mayer & Cie., the German circular knitting pioneer, will be showcasing its disruptive innovation at the upcoming ITMA. Named Spinit Systems, the new generation of knitting machines will require an intermediate yarn stage to knit a product. Therefore, using a spinning intermediate instead of a prefabricated yarn to knit, the machine presents a possibility where textile processing chain can be cut short and investments in machine parks are brought down. For over 110 years, Mayer & Cie. has manufactured circular knitting machines and more than 90 per cent of its produce is exported to Asia and South America.
